School Readiness

Helping children build confidence and skills for classroom success.

Starting school is a big step for any child. At Hispanic Autism Services of Michigan, our School Readiness & Transition Support program helps children develop the social, emotional, and behavioral skills they need to thrive in preschool and early elementary settings.

Through play-based ABA strategies, we teach children how to follow routines, participate in group activities, and communicate with teachers and peers — setting the stage for lifelong learning.

Our School Readiness Programs Include:
  • Individualized school readiness assessment and plan
  • Play-based, group readiness, and structured learning activities
  • Focus on communication, social participation, and independence
  • Collaboration with teachers, schools, and families
  • Progress tracking and transition support
  • Services available in English and Spanish

Collaborating with Families & Educators

Our School Readiness & Transition Support program combines structured learning with playful, real-world experiences to help children thrive in the classroom and beyond.
Each plan is personalized to your child’s unique abilities, interests, and goals, focusing on social connection, communication, independence, and emotional regulation.

We believe that progress happens fastest when families are part of the process. That’s why we work closely with parents and caregivers — sharing simple, practical strategies that can be used at home to reinforce classroom skills. Together, we help children build confidence and consistency across every environment.

Our team works hard to ensure that every family feels supported, informed, and included in their child’s journey toward school success.
